About Our School
We are a CHARACTER COUNTS! school located in the wonderful city of Gaithersburg, Maryland.
Our school, built in 1971, is home to our more than 500 students in grades Head Start through 5th. We are also fortunate to have one of our county's original Linkages to Learning sites at our school, combining county government agencies and MCPS programs to assist both our parents and students. We have more than 75 very talented staff members dedicated to making our students successful.
Summit Hall was named for the large, antebellum Desellum plantation, which became one of the first commercial turf farms in the United States and is now part of Gaithersburg's sprawling Bohrer Park.
